CRYSTAL BEST, R.Ac Registered Acupuncturist/Owner of BE WELL
Experience. Legacy. Results. Crystal Best is a Registered Acupuncturist in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario.
With over 20 years of clinical experience and practicing since 2002, she is one of the most sought-after and widely referred acupuncturists in the Sudbury District. She provides Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture services to the Greater Sudbury community with a focus on effective, results-driven care.
International Training & Clinical Excellence Crystal’s training began in Beijing, China, where she completed extensive acupuncture education and gained hands-on experience in hospital settings under the guidance of Traditional Chinese Medicine masters. She continues to pursue ongoing education each year to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care.
Her additional studies include training with internationally recognized leaders such as Sir Anton Jayasuriya, Giovanni Maciocia, and Debra Betts.
A Life Rooted in Care & Connection Crystal was raised in the acupuncture profession as the daughter of Marsha, founder of BE WELL Acupuncture (established in 1988).
From a young age, she was immersed in a clinic environment centered on patient care, connection, and trust. Assisting in the clinic after school, she developed a deep understanding of patient relationships and the impact of acupuncture on overall well-being.
Alongside her clinical upbringing, Crystal also spent her life grooming, training, racing, and working closely with horses. Through these experiences, she developed a profound respect for the body’s natural ability to regulate, respond, and restore when given the right support.
Working with animals taught her to observe subtle changes, listen without words, and respond with patience, intuition, and precision. She carries this same philosophy into her acupuncture practice—recognizing that the body communicates in patterns, not just symptoms.
This perspective aligns closely with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which focuses on balance, flow, and treating the root cause rather than only the presenting concern.
Today, she is honoured to continue her mother’s legacy through BE WELL Acupuncture.
A Patient-Centered Approach Crystal treats a wide range of conditions using a balanced approach that combines clinical experience, ongoing education, and individualized care.
Her treatments are guided by careful observation, pattern recognition, and a deep respect for how each body responds differently. Her focus is to help patients reduce pain, restore balance, and support their journey to wellness through natural, evidence-informed treatment.
Movement & Lifestyle Philosophy In addition to her clinical work, Crystal has over 10 years of experience as a fitness instructor at GoodLife Fitness and continues to prioritize an active lifestyle.
She aligns with Traditional Chinese Medicine principles that movement plays a key role in maintaining physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This philosophy—reinforced through both her fitness background and lifelong experience working with animals—supports each patient’s journey to wellness both inside and outside the treatment room.
She strongly aligns with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, believing that “movement removes stagnation—physically, mentally, and emotionally.” To Crystal, movement is medicine—and it can make any day feel like a runway.
Welcoming & Inclusive Care Crystal is bilingual and committed to providing a welcoming, supportive environment where patients feel comfortable and understood throughout their journey to wellness.
Care Philosophy & Accessibility Crystal is dedicated to making acupuncture care accessible while maintaining a high standard of treatment. She offers extended clinical hours, often up to 12-15 hours per day, and frequently/when possible, provides weekend availability to accommodate patient needs. Her practice model allows for the treatment of multiple patients within the same hour, helping to keep care accessible and affordable while still delivering effective, individualized treatments that support each patient’s journey to wellness.
