This appointment is required for all new patients receiving acupuncture at BE WELL Acupuncture & Wellness Clinic.
Your initial visit includes:

First-time appointments may take up to 1–2 hours to ensure a thorough and personalized evaluation.
Treatment Breakdown
Each follow-up session typically includes:
- 30 minutes – Consultation, progress review, and assessment -15 minutes – Administration of the consented treatment - -20–28 minutes – Rest period to allow therapeutic integration -10–15 minutes – Needle removal and reassessment - 5 minutes – Treatment documentation and plan review

In some cases, treatment may intentionally focus on one side of the body only.
This unilateral approach is clinically appropriate and based on Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic principles and individualized treatment strategy.
All treatments are provided according to professional standards of practice and tailored to your specific presentation.

Late Arrival Policy

If Late Arrival Impedes Clinical Standards
If a late arrival prevents the Registered Acupuncturist from safely and effectively:
- Keeping all scheduled patients on time -Meeting professional Standards of Practice - Upholding regulatory obligations set by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario
The appointment will be cancelled, and 50% of the scheduled appointment fee will be charged.

Follow-Up Appointment

This extended follow-up appointment is recommended for patients who:
- Require a more in-depth consultation - Prefer a therapeutic rest period longer than 30 minutes - -Would like written summaries or educational literature - --Tend to require additional time during appointments
To maintain treatment consistency and continuity of care, it is recommended to pre-book 4–6 sessions in advance.

This appointment type is required for established patients who have not received regular Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture treatments at BE WELL within the past 6 months.

Because a clinical reassessment is necessary after an extended gap in care, additional consultation time is built into this session to safely and effectively update your treatment plan.
